GTA 6 radio stations: music, hosts, previews and podcasts
A guide to GTA 6's six previewed radio stations, their music and hosts, official previews, podcasts and listening through headphones on foot.

Radio in GTA 6 has already been introduced through six stations: Cocoteo FM, Back Country Radio, AfroBank FM, The Chamber 106.6, Flash FM and Dirty South Classics. They cover Latin music, country, African music, metal, pop and Southern hip-hop. This is the portion of the future airwaves Rockstar has opened for a first listen, rather than the complete in-game station list. Jason and Lucia will be able to listen to radio and podcasts both in vehicles and on foot, using headphones or earbuds connected to their smartphones.
Rockstar’s general radio description also mentions classic rock and talk radio. The announcement does not reveal the names or hosts of those stations.
This guide is based on the official Music section and Rockstar’s 8 October announcement. It lets you pick a musical direction, understand the host names and find the previews. We covered the initial radio and podcast announcement separately; here, the focus is on the broadcasts and ways to listen.
Which stations Rockstar has shown
The final column lists the on-air names used in the studio’s material. The real people identified by media reports are covered in the next section.
| Station | Music | On-air names |
|---|---|---|
| Cocoteo FM | Contemporary Latin music | El Martillo and La Gata |
| Back Country Radio | Country | MW and Delta Dawne |
| AfroBank FM | African classics and contemporary styles | Burna and Palmsy |
| The Chamber 106.6 | Metal across several decades | DJ Kerry and DJ Tom |
| Flash FM | Pop | Robyn and Alex |
| Dirty South Classics | Classic Southern rap and hip-hop | Trick and Trina |
The table helps you choose a first station to try. Flash FM suits pop, The Chamber metal, and Back Country country. The other three are best distinguished by their specific styles, rather than grouped together as generic “dance radio”.
How the broadcasts differ
For Cocoteo FM, Rockstar names bachata, merengue, dembow and reggaeton. The station brings together several strands of contemporary Latin music. Its official excerpt offers a first impression of its sound.

Back Country Radio is linked in its description to Grassrivers and Port Gellhorn. Alongside musical duo MW and Delta Dawne, Rockstar mentions a travelling reporter, a swamp weather forecaster and Mud Dog Mike reporting from an airboat. These details give the broadcast character; they do not mean the station is available only in those two places.

AfroBank FM combines twentieth-century African music classics with contemporary styles, including amapiano and 3-step. Amapiano originated in South Africa. It combines dance rhythms and keyboard melodies with jazz and gospel influences. That describes the genre itself, and should not be applied to every AfroBank song.
The Chamber 106.6, Flash FM and Dirty South Classics are easier to distinguish using the table: metal, pop and Southern rap. Flash has a familiar Vice City name, but that does not promise the old playlist. Dirty South Classics’ name points to regional rap classics, so it should not automatically be expected to cover all contemporary hip-hop.
Who is behind the host names
Rockstar’s official announcement uses on-air names. Man of Many identifies the following real-world hosts:
- Cocoteo FM: Bad Bunny and RaiNao.
- Back Country Radio: Morgan Wallen and Lana Del Rey.
- AfroBank FM: Burna Boy and Palms Trax.
- The Chamber 106.6: Kerry King and Tom Araya of Slayer.
- Flash FM: Robyn and Alex Consani.
- Dirty South Classics: Trick Daddy and Trina.
These artist names come from Man of Many, while the on-air names in the table above come from Rockstar. For example, the publication names Morgan Wallen and Lana Del Rey as Back Country Radio’s hosts, while the studio names MW and Delta Dawne.
How to listen to official previews now
You do not need the game to sample the music. In the sources at the bottom of this page, open Rockstar Music: official previews and the separate album. Scroll to the Radio section, then select Preview Station on the station card you want. In the player, use Play to start the excerpt or pause it. To compare stations, select Preview Station on another card.
The site plays a short excerpt of the broadcast. It is a convenient way to compare styles, rather than a full archive of shows or songs. The player’s text menu examined for the original article listed stations and hosts, but not the individual tracks in the radio excerpts.
Radio on foot and podcasts
Rockstar explicitly confirmed radio and podcast listening outside vehicles: Jason and Lucia will have headphones and earbuds linked to their smartphones. Radio will also be available while walking through Vice City.
Podcasts are described as on-demand content. A station provides its broadcast, while a podcast is intended for separate listening chosen by the player. This announcement does not yet include show titles, their number or a detailed control menu.
Listening on foot also does not explain what happens to the current programme when leaving a car. The material examined does not describe automatic continuation of the same stream, pausing, rewinding or restrictions during missions. Those details should be checked against the interface, rather than inferred from the word “headphones”.
Radio and the separate album
The Music section presents Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album separately from the stations. Rockstar’s figure of 34 original tracks refers to the album. It does not mean the in-game radio will contain only 34 songs.
A trailer song should likewise not automatically be assigned to a station playlist: its presence in the broadcast needs confirmation. A full track catalogue is a separate topic; this guide helps you choose stations and understand how the radio is presented.
Rockstar also promises further details about the game’s dynamic music. The announcement does not yet establish exactly how mission music responds to actions or affects the selected station.
What has not been revealed
Will there be only six stations? Rockstar showed six preview stations. The announcement does not establish the full in-game lineup.
Will the old Flash FM songs return? A familiar station name does not prove that. The new description names pop music and hosts Robyn and Alex.
Can you add your own songs or enable a mode without licensed music? Neither the Music section nor the Newswire announcement describes those features. These materials cannot establish whether such settings will be in the game.
