Who plays Lucia and Jason in GTA 6? What is known about the actors

Rockstar has not yet named Lucia’s and Jason’s actors in GTA 6. Stephen Root has personally confirmed his involvement, but did not name his character in the available quotation. Variety connects him to Brian Heder. Manni L. Perez and Dylan Rourke remain fan theories for the protagonists.

As of 9 October 2026, the studio had introduced characters, their stories and videos featuring their voices, but had not published a full cast list.

Rockstar’s official artwork shows Lucia and Jason together. Their voices can already be heard in trailers, but character images do not reveal who performed the roles.

Stephen Root confirmed his GTA 6 involvement

Stephen Root publicly said he was involved in GTA 6. Associated Press published a recording of his answer. This directly confirms his participation in the project.

His involvement is confirmed. Variety identified Brian as his role.

Root himself does not say Brian’s name in the available quotation. The confirmation of participation therefore comes from the actor, while the identification of his specific role comes, in the material available to us, from Variety. Viewers have also compared Root’s voice with Brian’s in game material, but that comparison does not replace credits.

Brian has already been introduced on GTA VI’s official website. He runs dubious businesses in Leonida and lets Jason live rent-free in one of his properties in exchange for help. Rockstar’s video material includes a separate Brian clip. His voice can be heard, although the studio does not name the performer. Who plays Lucia? Why fans name Manni L. Perez

Lucia Caminos first appeared in GTA 6’s first trailer. Rockstar has not yet said who plays her. The best-known fan theory centres on Manni L. Perez.

Fans compare Perez’s voice with Lucia’s lines and see a resemblance in their appearances. Discussions also claim the actress previously worked with Rockstar, attributing a GTA Online casino dealer role to her. The original research did not find official confirmation of that specific work in Rockstar’s credits.

Another argument concerns Perez’s motion-capture experience, the recording of an actor’s movements for character animation. That experience explains why fans included her among possible performers. It does not connect her to GTA 6. Voice resemblance also depends on the recordings compared and the processed sound heard in the game.

Supporters cite older Perez interviews and discuss her reactions to GTA 6 questions. The original research found the page for her appearance on the Just Acting Up podcast but did not listen to the source recording. A fake Instagram “confirmation”

In late August 2026, a post circulated claiming that Perez herself had announced she played Lucia. According to analyses by Paradrew and All Things How, it came from the fake account @mannil.perez, with a dot in the name. They identify the actress’s account as @mannilperez, without the dot. We did not see the original post and therefore rely on those analyses. A statement from another account does not confirm Perez’s involvement.

Who voices Jason? From Troy Baker to Dylan Rourke

After the first trailer, some viewers thought Jason sounded like Troy Baker. The actor denied playing the role. That theory did not withstand checking.

Dylan Rourke now appears more often in discussions.

One source of the Rourke theory is a detailed fan post on Reddit. Its author assembled several observations: similarities in voice and appearance, information about Rourke’s motion-capture experience and indirect traces of work on an unnamed game.

His voice can be compared with Jason’s increasingly numerous trailer lines. Some listeners find it similar. An auditory impression, however, does not establish a performer’s identity. Visual resemblance does not settle the question either: artists work on a game character, who may not be an exact copy of an actor.

Motion-capture experience shows Rourke is familiar with the relevant work. The fan post also cites a congratulatory message about his participation in an unnamed game and discusses his social media connections. Even if those details are authentic, they do not identify the project or role. Some source images cited by the post could not be independently verified.

The Rourke theory has a traceable original analysis, which helps explain its spread. Its arguments remain circumstantial. Neither Rockstar nor Rourke has confirmed that he plays or voices Jason.

Why GTA 6 cast lists contradict each other

Sometimes the explanation is simple: a page is outdated. For example, Vicemania wrote in July 2026 that no actor had confirmed involvement. Stephen Root later discussed his work on the game. A text accurate when published no longer reflects all available information.

The opposite also happens: a source reaches a stronger conclusion than its quoted words support. FullSweep says Root personally confirmed Brian’s role, although the available actor quotation confirms GTA 6 involvement without a character name. DUNGEN claims Rockstar announced the entire cast, but does not show the list or link to a studio announcement.

For each name, ask two separate questions: who reported the actor’s involvement, and who identified their character? For Root, the answers differ. For Perez and Rourke, neither question yet has a confirmed answer.

What is known about other characters’ voices

Alongside Lucia, Jason and Brian, Rockstar introduced Cal Hampton, Boobie Ike, Dre’Quan Priest, Raul Bautista and duo Real Dimez. Some have individual videos featuring dialogue. Those materials do not name the performers.

Games involve more than voice recording. Actors may also perform motion and facial capture, and different tasks are not necessarily done by one person. When names appear, we will need to check what work each credit represents. A reliable basis would be a Rockstar announcement, a direct performer statement about a specific role or the game’s final credits.
