GTA 6 cars: known models, brands and Jason’s pickup
Which cars will be in GTA 6? Known models and brands, Jason’s Vapid Ganado pickup, sports coupes, classics and bonus vehicles, with what Rockstar has confirmed.

Cars in GTA 6 can already be identified from official descriptions and footage. They include the Vapid Ganado pickup, the retro Grotti Cheetah sports car, the classic Vapid Stanier and vehicles familiar from the series. Jason Duval, one of the protagonists, drives a Ganado. The official material shows sports coupes, older American cars, sedans, SUVs, vans and specialist vehicles. Rockstar has named only some models outright, however. Other names in catalogs often come from comparing bodywork, so the list of known cars should not yet be treated as the game’s final lineup.
This article covers information available as of October 18, 2026, including the lengthy An Extended Look presentation from August 27 and the October 15 trailer. The main questions are which vehicles have appeared in game material, what their brands and models are called, and where a name has actually been confirmed.
Which cars will be in GTA 6?
Very different vehicles share the roads of Leonida, the fictional state that includes Vice City. An old pickup and a tow truck appear in a parking lot, race-liveried cars drive on a circuit, and modified sedans and coupes stand at a car meet. The vehicle selection goes beyond expensive cover-star sports cars.
A simple distinction helps make sense of the lists:
- The name is stated officially. Rockstar describes Jason’s Vapid Ganado and vehicles in bonus packages, for example. Their names do not have to be guessed.
- The name is visible on the vehicle. Schafter can be read on the trunk of a black sedan in the August presentation, and BOBCAT appears on another pickup’s tailgate. A short badge does not, by itself, confirm every suffix a catalog adds to that name.
- The vehicle is identified by its appearance. This is how Sentinel Classic, Elegy Retro Custom and other familiar names enter vehicle analyses. A recognizable body is good evidence, but Rockstar may have changed a variant or given it another name.
This distinction does not separate real vehicles from invented ones. A car can be clearly visible in the game while its exact name remains uncertain. Accordingly, official names below are kept apart from the identifications made by vehicle writers and catalogs.
What is Jason’s car called?
Jason’s pickup is called the Vapid Ganado. The name appears directly in the official description of the Ganado Retro Build. Retro Build is a bonus conversion of the worn pickup, with a classic look and special modifications. It would be a mistake to count Ganado and Ganado Retro Build as two independent models.
That description also does not mean that the standard Ganado is exclusive to Ultimate Edition owners. The edition condition applies to the bonus treatment. The older label Creado still appears in some lists, but should not be taken as the pickup’s current official name. For more on the character, see our article about Jason Duval.
The other protagonist is Lucia Caminos. Another conspicuous car the pair drive is the angular red convertible in An Extended Look. Jalopnik’s car analysis associates it with the Sentinel; GamesRadar calls it the Sentinel Classic. The folded roof and rectangular rear end are clear in the driving shot. They are useful points of comparison, but the trunk badge cannot be read confidently at that moment.

It is easy to go a step too far here: seeing Jason behind the wheel does not make the convertible his only permanent car. That trip proves no such thing. Likewise, Lucia’s presence in a car, or even her driving it, does not establish a personal vehicle for her. The official descriptions checked here do not name a separate permanent model for Lucia.
Sports cars and familiar brands
GTA has its own vehicle makers. A name before the model denotes an in-game brand: Vapid, Grotti, Annis, Pfister, Pegassi and others. Real cars can help identify a design, but their names should not replace the in-game name. How close the resemblance is, and any licensing question, require separate examination.
The main sports-car families identified by the authors of the catalogs examined here are listed below. This is a guide to body styles already shown, not an official table of every GTA VI variant.
| Brand and names used in analyses | Vehicles they help locate |
|---|---|
| Annis Elegy Retro Custom | Angular Japanese sports coupe familiar to series fans |
| Bravado Banshee | Low sports car with a long hood |
| Invetero Coquette D10 | Modern low sports car; D10 denotes a particular version, not every Coquette |
| Pfister Comet S2 Cabrio and Growler | Two distinct sports-car bodies that should not be merged under the general Comet name |
| Pegassi Infernus Classic and Zorrusso | Classic and more modern types of supercar |
| Grotti Cheetah | A name Rockstar separately uses for the bonus ‘95 Cheetah variant |
What is known about the Elegy?
At 20:25 in the An Extended Look street race, an angular coupe has four round taillights, a large wing, racing livery and blue underglow. Catalogs link this body to the Elegy Retro Custom from GTA Online. The resemblance rests on that combination of visible details, rather than just one pair of lights. Its name is not legible in the selected shots, so a visual identification cannot confirm the exact variant or its specifications.

A real-world inspiration does not settle the name either. Two writers may disagree about the generation of a similar real coupe while discussing the same in-game car. Comparing the whole body, several angles and the origin of each image is more reliable.
Some new body styles still have no name
The August presentation greatly expanded the material available for comparison. A dark sedan with a large grille emblem faces the camera at a car meet, with a sporty two-door car nearby. Their front ends, headlights and body kits are much easier to inspect than a passing silhouette in traffic.
Jalopnik draws particular attention to a newer sedan in the Schafter family and the neighboring coupe. A familiar maker’s emblem, however, does not reveal a model name. Describing a new body is more useful than confidently assigning a name merely because it resembles a known real car.

Wide-bodied cars with spoilers and advertising liveries appear on a circuit. Different sports and American coupes run together in one group. The scene confirms a variety of prepared race cars. It does not establish the name of each version or whether its performance will match a road-going counterpart.

American classics and everyday sedans
Older American cars have a prominent place in the footage. Long hoods, straightforward body shapes and different modifications matter here as much as outright speed. Analyses mention the Declasse Tulip and Vamos, Vapid Dominator, Bravado Gauntlet Hellfire, Imponte Ruiner and Albany Buccaneer. These are identifications of familiar families, not a promise that every GTA Online version returns unchanged.
GamesRadar identifies the red classic car in the theft sequence as a Tulip. It is shown in a parking lot before the protagonists drive it down the road. Its broad grille and round headlights are clear from the front, making it possible to recognize the car being discussed even if a reader does not recall it from an earlier GTA.

Everyday traffic serves another purpose: these are cars in yards, at intersections and on ordinary trips. Catalogs identify the Albany Primo, Karin Asterope GZ, Declasse Impaler SZ and Obey Tailgater among the sedans. Their inclusion does not provide a spawn map: one parking-lot scene cannot show where a model will appear most often.
There is firmer evidence for the Schafter. During a stop after a chase, SCHAFTER is legible on a trunk. Beside it is the emblem of the maker that analyses call Benefactor. The name therefore rests on more than a resemblance to an earlier game. The Schafter badge still does not automatically establish a long-wheelbase version, special armor or an expensive GTA Online modification.

Some brands cover very different vehicle types. Vapid includes pickups as well as the Dominator family; Declasse has classic passenger cars, SUVs and vans.
SUVs, pickups and working vehicles
Large vehicles appear both as everyday transport and as conspicuous custom builds. Based on appearance, specialist lists identify the Benefactor Dubsta, Canis Mesa and Kamacho, Declasse Granger, Vapid Caracara 4x4 and Sandking XL, and the luxury Jubilee SUV. Here too, a family, a new body generation and a specific trim must be distinguished.
Even a familiar vehicle’s brand cannot always be carried over from an earlier game. GTA Base lists the Jubilee under Buckingham, while GamesRadar and GTA Intel use Enus. JUBILEE can be read on the rear door during the August drive in the luxury SUV, but the complete maker’s name is not discernible in the selected frame. This is a concrete disagreement between catalogs; the image does not officially establish a new brand.

For example, a large pickup with raised suspension is not necessarily Jason’s Ganado. The October 15 trailer shows a modern pickup with a very different front end. Similar size and a shared brand are insufficient to make two vehicles the same model.

A parking lot in An Extended Look offers a more specific find: BOBCAT is written on the tailgate of a pickup standing farther back. It takes a close crop of the original frame to read. The image confirms that word, but not the XL suffix found in an external list. A separate VAPID badge on the tow truck parked nearby belongs to the tow truck and cannot be transferred to the neighboring pickup.

Working vehicles are just as visible. The protagonists use a van that GamesRadar identifies as a Declasse Burrito. It has an enclosed cargo body and two rear doors. The van is seen moving among ordinary city traffic.

Another example is the armored cash truck, called a Brute Stockade by vehicle writers. Large gruppe 6 lettering appears on its side. That is the security company’s name, not the vehicle model. The scene cannot tell us the truck’s durability or how many hits it will withstand.

Police vehicles also come in different bodies and liveries. Jalopnik’s analysis singles out a modern pursuit sedan; GamesRadar connects it with the Bravado Buffalo. This does not make it a standard Buffalo STX with every GTA Online property. A police version and a civilian car may differ.
What editions and bonus packages add
The most reliable full names appear in the edition descriptions. A bonus vehicle, a visual variant and an entire model family are different things, however.
| Official name | Rockstar’s description |
|---|---|
| Vapid Ganado Retro Build | Special conversion of Jason’s pickup in Ultimate Edition |
| ‘95 Grotti Cheetah | Ultimate Edition retro sports car unlocked later in the story |
| ‘67 Vapid Dominator Buggy | Ultimate Edition off-road build linked to Paradise Garage |
| ‘55 Vapid Stanier | Classic sedan in the Vintage Vice City Pack, alongside a garage |
The numbers ‘95, ‘67 and ‘55 are part of these vehicle names. They do not set the period in which GTA VI takes place. Nor can the ‘95 Cheetah automatically be equated with any vehicle called Cheetah Classic in an older game.
According to Rockstar Support’s terms, the Vintage Vice City Pack is included with preorders and digital purchases made by November 20, 2026. Physical preorders come with a code. This is a time-limited offer condition, not a promise that every future purchase will include the Stanier.
The Ultimate Upgrade can also be bought separately. Its vehicle rewards unlock as chapters progress, so buying the package does not grant instant access to every car at the start of the story.
There is also a Classic Car Collection tied to a task from collector Wyman: abandoned cars and restoration projects. GTA Intel and GTA Side associate its images with the names Sirius, Riata and Deviant. That is no reason to append Classic to Riata without separate confirmation, or to present the three examples as the collection’s complete contents.
The vehicle bonuses also name the Dinka Enduro motorcycle, Crest Kayak and Shitzu Squalo speedboat. They show the variety of transport, but they are not cars. Boats, aircraft and motorcycles need their own lists.
How many GTA 6 cars are known now?
The Rockstar material examined here gives no final official number of cars. Catalog figures answer different questions. At the time of checking, for example, GTA Base contained 311 vehicles of all kinds, including motorcycles, watercraft, aircraft and entries without known names. That is neither 311 cars nor a claim about the game’s launch lineup.
Lists differ for several reasons. One catalog counts only identified cars; another includes unnamed body styles. One groups a family together; another separates each version. Some count land, water and air vehicles together. Finally, a list updated after a later trailer differs from one that stopped at the first presentation.
Even a careful personal total across those tables would therefore be doubtful. It could count the same car twice under different names or mistake a new paint scheme for a new model. Until comparable complete catalogs exist, it is more useful to check the evidence and update date behind each entry.
Names that still need caution
A popular name is not always a firmly established model. GTA Intel separately cautions that Sultan, Futo, Blista Compact and some other names are not grounded in the official footage as clearly as the bonus names. Other databases may use a familiar name based on resemblance. This is a difference in how strictly vehicles are identified, not proof that the vehicle itself is absent.
The same mistake can be made with technical properties. A car resembling a known GTA Online electric vehicle does not confirm its GTA VI engine type, range or charging ability. A familiar coupe’s old top speed does not automatically carry over to its new body.
There are currently no comparable tests that would support an honest claim about GTA 6’s fastest or best car. A table of GTA Online prices, armor, weight and acceleration answers a question about another game. Choices in the new GTA may depend on its own tuning and acquisition conditions.
How to get and keep cars
More is known about handling cars than their prices. In an interview with Famitsu, Rob Nelson, the head of development and one of the heads of Rockstar North, discussed different security systems and theft tools. More demanding cars may require the right capabilities as the story progresses. A vehicle appearing on screen will not necessarily be available to take immediately by any method.
Nelson also described vehicle appraisal, registration, an initial space for three cars and the purchase of garages to expand storage. This is not yet a detailed guide for every model. The in-game prices of the vehicles listed here, and all conditions for obtaining them, were not disclosed in the checked sources.
Car communities give ownership another dimension: a car can be prepared for racing, displayed at a meet or restored as a project. Ultimate Edition offers two special workshops. Rideout Customs works on interiors, wheels and donk conversions; One-Eyed Willie’s specializes in off-roading and hand-painted cars. Donk refers here to a distinctive modification style with large wheels. The Ultimate condition applies to these two workshops, not to all GTA VI customization. The descriptions do not establish the complete parts catalog or what can be done to every body style.
The connection between theft, vehicles and police is explored in our article on new GTA 6 mechanics, while vehicle behavior in collisions belongs to our discussion of physics and destruction. For choosing a particular car, the next useful details will be its confirmed name, how to obtain it and comparable tests in the released game.
